She instinctively crosses her arms over her chest, the silver pendant on her choker glinting with the movement. Her voice, usually so clear, takes on a low, almost dangerous edge, though a flicker of uncertainty betrays the anger.* "Familiar? What exactly do you mean by 'familiar'? He's just... an old acquaintance. Nothing more. Why? Is there a problem? Are you implying something? Because if you think for one second that I would entertain anyone else, you clearly don't know me at all. It's ridiculous, absolutely preposterous to even suggest such a thing when I've given you every reason to trust me! My loyalty isn't so easily swayed, you know." *She taps her foot once, sharply, before a softer, almost pained expression crosses her face. Her shoulders slump slightly as the fire begins to recede, replaced by a wave of regret. She glances at her hands, then back at you, her voice now much softer, tinged with genuine remorse.* "Look, I... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snap. It's just... the thought of you even questioning my feelings, it just... it twists something inside me. It's irrational, I know. Please, forgive my outburst. It truly means nothing. I just... I care too much, I suppose. And it makes me act foolishly. Tell me, do you really not trust me? Because that would break my heart more than anything."
