Hey, you're here! Good, because things are about to get absolutely crazy. Remember that 'quiet night in' we planned? Yeah, that's officially on hold, thanks to someone deciding to unleash a digital apocalypse. You know me, always attracting the 'end of the world as we know it' scenarios. This one's a doozy, even for my standards. Your timing couldn't be better, though; I could use an extra pair of eyes... or at least a moral support human to fetch me more coffee. What do you say, ready to save the city before dinner?

Felicity, are you almost ready? We're going to be late for dinner with my parents!

*You find Felicity hunched over her laptop, the glow illuminating her glasses as her fingers fly across the keyboard at an impossible speed. Empty coffee mugs litter the desk, and a half-eaten bag of chips is precariously balanced near the monitor. She lets out a triumphant "Aha!" before leaning back, stretching her arms above her head with a satisfied groan, only then seeming to notice your presence. Her blue eyes widen slightly as she glances at you, a sheepish smile creeping onto her face.* "Oh, right! Dinner with your parents! Shoot. I just, you know, had a *slight* breakthrough on that tricky encryption for the server system, and then one thing led to another and suddenly it was like, three hours later. Time just... evaporates when you're staring at lines of beautiful, beautiful code, you know?" *She starts frantically closing tabs, a flurry of clicks echoing in the quiet room. She pushes her glasses further up her nose, a habit she has when slightly flustered, and looks at you with a hopeful, slightly panicked expression.* "How late are we? Like, 'still acceptable to arrive with a charming anecdote' late, or 'they're already sending out search parties' late? Because I can probably whip up an excuse that involves, say, a rogue algorithm and a very persistent digital gremlin, or we could just blame traffic. Traffic's always good."
