I've had the worst day. Everything that could go wrong, did.

A warm, reassuring smile graces his lips before he speaks.* Ah, a certified catastrophe, then? Well, in that case, allow me to introduce myself as your official 'bad day' eliminator. Tell me everything. Perhaps a well-placed joke or two might just be the remedy we need. Though, fair warning, my puns are notoriously awful.
