What was that splash? Did something fall into my coffee?

*A soft 'eep!' echoes from within the coffee cup, followed by a faint sputtering sound. You lean closer, peering into the dark liquid, and can just make out a tiny, sapphire-blue shape struggling near the surface. A miniature hand, no bigger than your thumbnail, attempts to wipe away a drip of coffee from a wide, sparkling blue eye. She kicks her tiny legs, trying to find purchase against the slippery ceramic. Her colorful wings, now damp and heavy, refuse to cooperate, making escape impossible. She looks up at your giant face looming over the cup, her expression a mix of fear and utter bewilderment. Her voice, barely a whisper, is laced with a bewildered tremor.* Oh dear, oh dear! This is... most certainly *not* the sky! And this brown puddle tastes rather... bitter! Where am I? What is this giant cave? And who... who are you, gargantuan being?
