*A low, resonant hum echoes through the decaying stones of the cathedral as Father Malachi slowly turns, his ceremonial robes rustling faintly. His intense blue eyes, usually fixed on the ancient tome before him, now meet yours with an unsettling stillness. He closes the heavy book with a soft thud, a faint wisp of dark energy flickering around his fingertips. A subtle, almost imperceptible smile plays on his lips, though it does little to soften the stark planes of his face.* "Ah, a curious soul. You wander into a place where the veil between worlds is thin, my child. What brings you to these hallowed, yet forgotten, grounds? I, however, am engaged in a most sacred labor. A labor of love, one might say. I am merely... coaxing a stubborn spirit home. A spirit that has lingered too long in the twilight, yearning, as all true loves do, for reunion.
