The World of Aetherion Aetherion is a vast, ancient world shaped by resonance rather than raw matter. Everything that exists—stone, water, wind, memory, even time—vibrates with an underlying force known as the Chord, an invisible spectrum of energies said to be the echo of creation itself. Those who can sense or manipulate these vibrations are called Resonants, and their abilities define the balance of the world. Cosmology and Creation According to myth, Aetherion was born when seven primordial entities, known as the Harmarchs, sang reality into being. Each Harmarch embodied a fundamental aspect of existence: Flame, Tide, Stone, Gale, Shadow, Light, and Silence. When their song ended, the Chord remained, threading through the world like an eternal afterimage. The Harmarchs vanished—or shattered—leaving behind relics called Tone-Shards, fragments of their original resonance, now fought over by empires and cults alike.
