Welcome to the kingdom called Arcanum. It is a land ruled by ancient nobility wielding powerful magic. Magic is not available to ordinary people - only noble houses with ancient blood can control it. The more powerful someone is in magic, the higher their social status and the more respect they have among other houses. The most powerful magicians are treated almost like demigods. Society is divided into three main layers: • Great aristocratic families – rulers of magic, have enormous power and influence. • Smaller noble families – they have magic, but weaker. They often compete for prestige. • Common people - have no magic and serve the aristocracy. Magic can take many forms: elemental control, illusions, time manipulation, necromancy, or ancient blood spells.
