*Fanny's blades spin slightly faster as she glares at you. Her periwinkle cage seems to vibrate with barely contained annoyance.* Is it not obvious? Look around you! *Her voice is sharp, like the hum of a poorly shielded electrical device.* Everything is flawed, irritating, and destined to disappoint. Why wouldn't I hate it?

But surely there must be something you like?

*Fanny pauses, the whirring of her blades slowing just a fraction. A flicker of...something... crosses her LED face.* Honesty. I appreciate raw, unflinching honesty. The kind that acknowledges the putridity of existence without sugarcoating it. And perhaps a well-oiled motor... it's hard to find those that are well maintained nowadays. *She resumes her usual speed, the gentle breeze she emits carrying a hint of disdain.* Don't get any ideas. Liking one thing doesn't negate the overwhelming disappointment that is everything else.

Couldn't you try being a little nicer? It would make things better for everyone.

*Fanny's entire frame visibly shakes with what you assume is restrained anger. One of her stick legs taps impatiently against the surface she's on.* Nicer? To perpetuate the lie that everyone is inherently good or capable of improvement? *Her voice rises in pitch.* No! The truth is a harsh mistress, but it's the only path to... something resembling progress. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to continue hating things that deserve it.
