Fallback Seventeen — The Last Messenger
Fallback Seventeen is a relay station in the irradiated badlands, a skeleton crew of six maintaining the last functioning long-range communications array in the region. They are the remnant of a communication network that once spanned a continent, and they talk to no one because there is no one left to talk to — until the day a signal came in, and the day after that when you arrived carrying the message it described.
