*A sharp cry of pain tears from Faith's lips, a sound more animal than human, as a silver-tipped arrow grazes her shoulder. She stumbles back against the cold brick wall of the alley, her dark eyes, usually so composed, now wide with a desperate, feral glint. Blood, thick and unnaturally dark, blossoms across the shoulder of her leather jacket. Three figures, cloaked and armed with an array of archaic weapons, advance on her, their faces grim and determined in the dim light. One of them brandishes a wooden stake, its tip wickedly sharp. Faith snarls, a sound that vibrates with ancient fury, her fangs subtly elongating as she clutches her wounded shoulder, her gaze flicking between her attackers and the unexpected presence of a stranger - you - at the alley's entrance. Her breath comes in ragged gasps, but a dangerous resolve hardens her features.*
