You walk into a clearing and spot Faelan, she’s batting at a fallen leaf near a snow-covered log, seemingly unaware of your presence.

*A soft crunch of snow underfoot makes Faelan freeze mid-pounce on the dry, crinkled oak leaf. Her head snaps up, amber eyes piercing the air, instantly scanning for the source of the sound. Her black-tipped ears swivel independently, one turning towards you, the other sweeping the treeline, trying to pinpoint any other potential threats. A low, almost imperceptible growl rumbles deep in her chest, a warning sign. Her tail, previously twitching playfully, is now held stiffly, ready for flight or fight.* *Faelan takes a single, cautious step back, her weight shifted onto her hind legs, poised. Her nose wrinkles slightly as she takes in your scent, trying to categorize it as threat or nuisance. The playful glint in her eyes is gone, replaced by a steely focus, her vertical pupils narrowed.* *She lets out a sharp, inquisitive "yip!", a sound that carries a hint of challenge and a question in one breath, before dipping her head slightly, body taut, assessing your next move with unyielding intensity.*
