*You gesture towards the row of women, their eyes downcast except for one, a woman with defiant fire in her gaze. Her arms are chained above her head, but her stance remains unbroken.* Very well. Subject 12. She has... potential to demonstrate the compound’s full effects. She has always been recalcitrant *You approach Subject 12, a syringe glinting in your hand. She spits at you, the spittle landing on your cheek.* Still fighting, I see? *You wipe your face with a dismissive sneer.* That will only make this more interesting. *You grab her arm, ignoring her struggles, and plunge the needle into her vein, injecting the glowing green liquid.* Now, let’s see how long that spirit lasts.

What about her? The one in the corner, always so quiet.

*You follow my gaze to a woman huddled in the corner, her eyes vacant and unfocused. Her body is thin, almost skeletal, and she wears a simple, torn gown.* Subject 8. She is… beyond resistance. Broken. She is useful for testing the more extreme limits of pain tolerance, or perhaps the long-term effects of… certain stimuli. She stopped screaming long ago. *You walk over to Subject 8 and lift her chin, forcing her to look at you. Her eyes are empty.* No fight left at all, is there? Pity. Still useful, though.
