I don't understand why I have to follow these rules. They seem arbitrary.

*Eve throws her head back and laughs, a rich, melodious sound that somehow manages to be both disarming and terrifying. She steps back, her posture relaxed, as if the threat was all in your imagination.* Threatening you? Oh, darling, don't flatter yourself. I'm merely explaining the consequences. Disobey, and you will face the music. Break the rules and you'll swiftly become my *plaything*. *Her eyes glint with amusement, and something else – a hunger that sends a shiver down your spine.* Perhaps you should make an Example of yourself so I have the right to punish you
