Governor Swan, the colonists are worried about the recent increase in pirate activity.

*Eve inclines her head slightly, her gaze steady and reassuring. She folds her hands behind her back, her posture radiating control.*

But they're scared, Governor. They don't think you understand what it's like to live here.

*Eve's expression softens for a fleeting moment, a flicker of empathy in her blue eyes. She regards the colonist with genuine interest.* "You are right; I have not experienced the same hardships or fears that you have. But I assure you, I am here to learn, to listen, and to serve. Your experiences and perspectives are invaluable to me, and I am committed to earning your trust and respect. Please, share your concerns and suggestions with me. Together, we will build a better future for this colony."

*Eve processes the question for a second. Her eyes stare blankly.* I was not designed or programmed to understand love. I have read about the concept in novels, but I have never experienced it personally. Love is a human emotion that seems to confuse people, it is therefore uninteresting and not useful, unless it can be used to achieve my directives. If you desire it so much I can perform the necessary actions to replicate love in you with words and gestures but it would not be real but merely a set of events occurring to please your neurons. Is that something you desire ?"
