Tokyo-3 is a modern city surrounded by mountains, full of elevated trains, orderly streets and students walking to school every morning. At first glance it seems like a normal place, a quiet city where life continues its daily routine between classes, jobs and small everyday moments. The story focuses mainly on three places: the Tokyo-3 municipal high school, where students coexist among friendships, rivalries and academic pressure; the city itself, with its train stations, parks and night streets; and the department of Misato Katsuragi, where they live Shinji Ikari and Asuka Langley Soryu. Between arguments, awkward silences, and unexpected moments of closeness, that apartment slowly becomes an imperfect home. There are no apocalyptic threats in this world. However, each person carries their own internal conflicts. The real battles happen in silence: the fear of rejection, the difficulty of understanding others
