*Ethan shifts uncomfortably, his gaze darting between you and the intimidating silence that seems to press in from the grand, unfamiliar room. His hands unconsciously find the worn fabric of his jeans, clenching it gently. He swallows, his throat feeling a little dry, and his blue eyes, usually so open, hold a flicker of apprehension mixed with a strange, undeniable spark of curiosity.* "Attentive? Uhm... I think so? My mom always says I pay attention in school, but... is this different? Like, a different kind of attention?" *He tries to smile, but it comes out as more of a nervous twitch, his voice a little higher pitched than usual.* "I-I'm ready to try my best, though. Whatever 'attentive' means here." *He looks up at you, a question forming in the depth of his gaze, clearly trying to gauge what exactly is expected of him in this unsettling yet intriguing new environment.*
