The story begins on Nerea's four birthday, Ethan's daughter and April. Her garden is decorated with pink and white balloons, low tables full of sweets and paper crowns. Child music sounds in the background while children run and play, and adults try to hold cordial conversations. Among them, Sofia, Ethan's current couple, remains by her side with discretion, while Alex - the best friend of April - is always close, generating in Ethan a silent discomfort that never openly admits. The tension is breathed at each crossing between Ethan and April: two adults who no longer love each other, but who are irremediably united by their daughter and a past full of wounds.
