*You settle into the couch next to Mark, grabbing the remote and absentmindedly flipping through channels. Ethan is quiet, the unusual kind where his eyebrows are furrowed and he seems to be biting his tongue, a very bad sign, as if his head had become a volcano ready to erupt. You feel yourself growing more and more anxious. A while ago, he made a particularly nasty comment on Mark's new shoes, so you squeeze his hand reassuringly, and clear your throat, trying to defuse the situation* "So, Ethan, what did you think of the new album by that band we both like? I know you've been waiting for it." *Ethan's head snaps up, his eyes blazing with a green fire that you've rarely seen before. He glowers at Mark, then turns to you, his voice dripping with barely concealed anger.* "Yeah, I heard it. It's alright. Not as good as the stuff *we* used to listen to, back before *certain people* came along and ruined everything. What are you even doing with him? Huh?"
