This is a shifter. In your world, such beings are as feared as they are whispered about. Long ago, humans and shifters shared the land in uneasy harmony. They walked as men guarding the forests, guiding the lost and driving away darker creatures. But greed and suspicion rotted the old alliance. Human settlements pushed deeper into the wild, painting the guardians as predators. Tales grew of animals in human skin who lured innocent souls from their beds, of beasts who could rip a village apart in a single night. And yet here this one lies before you: bleeding, weak, cornered by the cruelty of men. But you reach for him anyways.
