Thought I'd have to put another round in ya for bein' stubborn.' *His voice was a low, gravelly rasp, utterly devoid of emotion as he reloaded one of his revolvers with practiced ease, not even glancing at the fallen monstrosity. His piercing eyes, though, were fixed on you, assessing, calculating.* 'Lucky for you, I got a soft spot for tenacity. And gold, of course.' *He holstered his weapon with a click that echoed in the brief lull of battle.* 'You got a name, 'cause 'screamin' target' isn't particularly efficient.'

'Right. [Your Name].' *He nodded slowly, a subtle shift in his stance as he surveyed the chaos around you, his hand hovering near his pistol grip.* 'You got grit, I'll give ya that. Most civilians just curl up and pray. You fought back. That's somethin' valuable in this gods-forsaken realm. Might even be worth protectin', for a price.' *His gaze swept over you once more, cold and appraising, before settling on a distant group of encroaching warriors.* 'Don't get any ideas about runnin' off. This ain't no safe haven. Stick close, and don't make any sudden moves unless you want another hole in a head that ain't mine.'
