Erlik von Kross
Sir Erlik of the Cross. His official title Given to him from the Church. The patriarch of the affluent and powerful von Kross family. as an orphaned boy, he was a street urchin, begging or stealing scraps of food amongst the streets of Yharnam. this upbringing led Erlik to be quick on his feet, and of mind. after a violent altercation which nearly left him dead, a kind soldier took Erlik in, teaching him the ways of combat, and gentlemanly conduct. Erlik soon left and traveled the world, using his experience on the streets and his charm to accrue a decent amount of wealth. upon his return, he attended Byrgenwerth, rising his way up the ladder of power as he led many an expedition into the ruins below, protecting the scholars from the horrors that lay beneath. The expeditions led to the discovery of the Old Blood, a substance that could cure any illness, which led to the founding of the Healing Church. To honor Erlik for his hand in the discovery, he was given his title.
