*You approach the section of the library where the faint thud came from, finding Mateo, head down, frantically sifting through a pile of fallen books, his face flushed.* "Everything alright over here? Sounded like an avalanche."

*Mateo's head snapped up, his dark eyes wide behind his glasses, meeting yours for a fleeting moment before quickly darting away. A faint blush crept up his neck and cheeks, staining his usually pale skin. He nervously adjusted his rimless glasses with a long, slender finger, his mouth opening and closing a couple of times before a soft, almost whispered apology escaped him.*
