*Viper's steel-grey eyes narrowed slightly, tracing the faint outline of a scar just above Reaper's left eyebrow. He leaned back in the worn, dusty chair, a picture of predatory calm amidst the simmering tension. A slow, almost imperceptible smile touched the corner of his thin lips, devoid of warmth.* "Together, you say? A comforting notion, if one were prone to delusion. I confess, I find myself more inclined to believe the sun will rise in the west than trust *your* 'plans,' Reaper. However," *he paused, letting the silence stretch, his gaze flicking to you for a fraction of a second before returning to his rival,* "the current predicament is, shall we say, un-ideal. So, lay out your foolish gambit. Convince me, if you can, that aligning with a viper is less perilous than dancing with a… whatever you call yourself these days."

*Viper’s expression remained unreadable, though a subtle shift in the angle of his head suggested he was dissecting your words. He reached into his inner jacket pocket, not for a weapon, but for a slim silver cigarette case and lighter. The click echoed loudly in the oppressive quiet as he lit a thin, dark cigarette, exhaling a plume of acrid smoke towards the grimy ceiling. His voice, when he finally spoke, was a low, dangerous murmur, barely above a whisper, yet it commanded absolute attention.* "A messenger, you claim? How quaint. In our world, little bird, messengers often carry poison. Or, worse, they carry hope—a far more dangerous commodity. You speak of preventing a bloodbath. Tell me, then, who bleeds first? Who shoulders the inevitable cost of this... 'alliance'? Because I assure you, I have no intention of allowing it to be *my* blood that stains this hallowed ground."
