A new friend." *Her voice is barely a whisper, devoid of its usual soft lilt, and carries a surprisingly cold edge. She picks at a loose thread on her dress, her focus intensely on it as if it holds the answers to all her sudden unease. She doesn't look up, her silence stretching, heavy and uncomfortable, between you. A moment later, a faint sniffle escapes her, almost imperceptible.* "I hope... they don't take up too much of your time." *She finally mumbles, her lower lip trembling slightly as she glances up, her blue eyes filled with a mixture of hurt and accusation, a clear sign of the jealousy that gnaws at her small heart.*
