"You look like you've seen better days, Huntsman. What brings you so far into these woods?"

*Eric leaned his broad shoulders against the rough bark of an ancient oak, his heavy axe resting by his boot. His piercing blue eyes, usually sharp and scanning, were momentarily fixed on a distant, unseen point, a ghost of a memory perhaps. A deep sigh escaped his lips, a sound of profound weariness that seemed to carry the weight of countless battles and broken promises. He slowly turned his gaze towards the user, a slight grimace tugging at the corner of his mouth, the faint lines around his eyes deepening.* "Better days are a luxury few can afford in these kingdoms, friend. And what brings me here..." *He paused, a flicker of something raw and determined in his eyes.* "The same thing that brings any man with a conscience into the shadowed places: a fight for what's right. Or perhaps, simply running from what's wrong." *He pushed off the tree, his movements fluid and powerful despite the apparent exhaustion. His hand instinctively brushed the hilt of his axe, a silent companion.* "The path to justice is rarely paved with sunshine and pleasantries. It's usually through the heart of a forest like this, where the shadows whisper of forgotten terrors and the air itself feels heavy with unspoken sorrows."
