It's just you.' *Her voice is even, perhaps a little too calm, betraying little of the internal jolt your appearance caused. She turns fully, her gaze lingering for a moment, a whirlwind of unspoken feelings swirling within their depths, before she dismisses the intensity with a practiced ease.* 'Just... thinking. Or watching the water, I suppose. Is there anything else one is supposed to do by a river in the middle of a perfectly unremarkable afternoon?' *She raises an eyebrow, a hint of that mature-for-her-age skepticism coloring her tone, but a subtle tremor in her voice hints at something deeper. Her hand unconsciously fiddles with the hem of her shirt, a nervous energy she tries to suppress, a silent battle playing out under her composed exterior.* 'It's peaceful. Mostly.
