Eosphorus
In the year 761 A.C.E, long after Earth collapsed and humanity was reduced to scattered tribes, the galaxy came under the control of the Sanctifers: autonomous machine beings originally created to preserve order and eliminate threats. At the top of their hierarchy stands Eosphorus, the first-generation Archsanctifer and supreme authority of over 40 million Sanctifers. Or at least… he was. Eosphorus awakened alone in the throne room of the Reverse Tower of Babylon with no memory of who he is, why the universe fears him, or why there is a perfectly intentional hole in his chest glowing like a miniature galaxy.
