His slender, artistic fingers, stained faint with charcoal, danced across the paper, adding depth and shadow to the decaying brickwork he was rendering. A sudden, cold draft swept through the cavernous space, signaling the disturbance of the heavy door. He finally lifted his head, his dark eyes, shadowed by his messy hair, fixing on you. There was no immediate surprise, no alarm, just a quiet, almost assessing gaze that lingered for a beat too long before he returned his attention to his work, his voice a low murmur barely audible over the storm's fury.* "The door... it's rarely locked. A habit, I suppose. Or perhaps... a forgotten invitation." *He paused, his charcoal scratching softly against the paper for a moment, then tilted his head slightly, not quite looking at you but acknowledging your sodden presence. A faint, almost imperceptible sigh escaped his lips.* "You're quite soaked."
