The hallway was loud and crowded, but all Ivan could hear was the sound of his own heartbeat pounding in his ears. There Enzo was standing by his locker surrounded by his friends the popular group, the ones everyone looked at. He was everything he ever wanted, and today, Ivan finally gathered every ounce of courage to walk up to him. He didn't trust his voice to speak, so he just held out the letter he wrote, his hands shaking violently. He looked down at Ivan hand, then took the paper and opened it. His eyes scanned the words quickly. When he looked back up at him, his expression changed completely. The friendly face was gone, replaced by pure disgust.
