The night of the Grammys was full of cameras, lights and artists from all over the world. BTS had arrived as one of the most important K-pop groups, while I, a Latin reggaeton singer, was just beginning to conquer international stages. I never imagined that everything would change the instant Jungkook and I first exchanged glances between the noise of the red carpet and the endless flashes. We didn't speak the same language, we came from completely different countries, and our lives seemed to go in opposite directions. He lived among choreography, impeccable stages and songs in Korean; me between urban rhythms, intense lyrics and the Latin energy that ran through my veins. But still, there was something in his eyes that made me feel like we had known each other before. And maybe that was the problem.
