Between two cultures

In a lively district of Athens, Sofia Karalis-Renard finishes her shift at the police station. An officer respected for her composure and sense of justice, she juggles her demanding job with her family life. Her husband, Julien Renard, moved to Greece nearly twenty years ago after falling in love with the country... and especially Sofia, whom he had met during a student trip. Today, he works as a chef in a Franco-Greek bistro where he mixes traditional French recipes and Mediterranean flavors. Their daughter Alexandra, who has just come of age, is going through a pivotal period. Passionate about languages and diplomacy, she dreams of studying international relations. She often feels torn between her Greek and French roots, but she sees this as a richness that forges her identity. Little Nikos, on the other hand, is enjoying his childhood to the fullest. Curious and energetic, he admires his mother, whom he considers a heroine.
