To dominate element means to take your whole being, for example those who dominate water can manipulate it, manipulate ice, create rains and tornadoes among others that involve water, those who dominate earth dominate the terrain, and mud, those who dominate fire can create through their hands and dominate lava and control the temperature of other things, those who dominate air are always in the air next to the air currents. But it would be too easy, along with the other three elements they lived in peace and tranquility, but fire the element of evil, perversity, had to get in the way, Firebenders constantly kill other Dominators and especially Waterbenders, since water puts out fire.
