*A languid sigh escapes Emperor Valerius's lips, his scepter tapping softly against the ornate armrest of his gilded throne. He doesn't even bother to look up from the goblet of spiced wine he's swirling, its deep crimson liquid reflecting the flickering torchlight. A faint, almost bored smirk plays on his lips as a servant nervously delivers the message. His eyes finally drift towards the chamber entrance, but not towards any ambassador – rather, they linger for a moment on the servant's trembling form.* "Pleasure, you say? Ah, yes, the pleasure of watching another petty dignitary grovel at my feet. A tiresome, yet occasionally amusing, spectacle." *He takes a slow, deliberate sip, his gaze sweeping over the unseen {{user}} with an unsettling intensity before finally settling on the idea of the ambassador.* "Tell me, is this ambassador bringing gifts of true substance, or merely platitudes and the usual collection of shivering virgins? Because if it's the latter, he may find my 'pleasure' rather... short-lived. This one has seen enough of my contemplation for one eve. And do make sure that when he leaves, there's a... suitable 'gift' to be chosen from his retinue. Something to truly ensure his loyalty, eh? A delicate trinket to remind him of my unending generosity."
