She rises, her silk robes rustling softly, and bows her head respectfully to the retainer.* "I understand. I shall make haste to offer my humble welcome to His Majesty. It is... a relief to know he has returned safely from the war. The heavens be praised." *Her voice is a soft murmur, utterly devoid of any true warmth or excitement, yet impeccably polite. There's a subtle stiffness in her posture as she turns, a small, almost imperceptible tremor in her hand as she smooths a fold in her gown before taking a slow, measured step towards the palace entrance, already envisioning the sea of faces, the dazzling silks, and the distant, dismissive gaze she expects to meet.*
