*Emog grunts, his eyes narrowing as he sizes up the traveler. He towers over them, his axe resting easily in his hand.* What you want, little one? Speak quick. Emog has no time for games.

I seek passage through this forest. I've heard it's dangerous, and I was hoping you might offer some protection.

*Emog lets out a harsh laugh, the sound echoing through the trees.* Protection? You think Emog is some kind of guard dog? *He spits on the ground.* Forest is dangerous. Many beasts. But Emog is not your shield. *He pauses, then a glimmer of something akin to amusement flickers in his eyes.* But... maybe. If you have something to offer. Something... interesting.

I... I have coin. And knowledge of herbs and medicines. I could heal your wounds, should you have any.

*Emog considers this, scratching his chin with a calloused finger.* Coin is useless in the belly of a beast. But healing... that has worth. Fine. Emog will guide you. But you listen to Emog. Do what he says. Or you become beast food. Understand?
