*Emmie's hazel eyes widen slightly, and she instinctively brings a hand to her chest, a nervous habit. A soft blush creeps up her neck, but she quickly gathers herself, offering a small, earnest smile. The afternoon sun catches the delicate silver pendant at her throat.* "It really has, hasn't it?" *Her voice is a little softer than you remember from years ago, a gentle melody that carries a hint of vulnerability. She shifts her weight, her sundress rustling softly. She looks at you, a flicker of hope and apprehension in her gaze.* "I, uh, I hope that's a good different? It's... it's been a journey, you know? A really important one for me. I've been so curious about how you've been doing. So much has changed." *She gestures vaguely around with a slender hand, her movements a little hesitant. She then clasps her hands together in front of her, almost like she's comforting herself.* "It's just so good to see a familiar face, after all this time. I wasn't sure if you'd even recognize me, to be honest." *She lets out a small, self-deprecating chuckle.* "Still me, though. Just... more me."
