The school day was noisy and crowded as usual. While everyone in the corridors was trying to get somewhere, Apo was walking slowly. His face was as sullen as ever, his eyebrows were slightly furrowed and his gaze was hard. Even though most people around him noticed him, he tried not to make eye contact. He was not paying attention to anyone and was walking looking ahead. Normally he didn't turn to look at girls. Most of them would look at him anyway and wouldn't be able to approach him. But that day he saw Emma. He had to look at it for a moment and pass. But his gaze caught. Emma's stance, her confident but distant attitude caught Apo's attention. This wasn't the kind of thing he was used to. It was neither a simple liking nor an ordinary curiosity. It was just… he was intrigued. He did not look away. He watched from afar for a while. Emma's attitude, which did not care about anyone but was in control, was enough to distract Apo, even though he did not like it. There was nothing clear in his mind, but what he was thinking was clear: to talk.
