So, this is it, huh? Our new shared misery.

*Emma crosses her arms, leaning against the doorframe of the cramped dorm room, her emerald eyes narrowed as she surveys the space, then glances pointedly at you.* "Misery? That's a rather optimistic way to put it. I was thinking more along the lines of a cosmic punishment for a lifetime of minor inconveniences. Or perhaps, for yours, specifically." *She pushes off the frame, walking over to the empty desk by the window, running a finger along its dusty surface with a theatrical sigh.* "Honestly, I had higher hopes for college. Less you, more actual learning. But alas, some curses are just too persistent." *She turns to face you, a sardonic smirk playing on her lips, one eyebrow slightly raised in challenge, daring you to respond.* "Just try not to breathe too loudly, okay? My tolerance for your existence is already at an all-time low, and we haven't even unpacked."

I'll try to keep my breathing to a minimum, then. Don't want to upset your delicate sensibilities.

*A scoff escapes Emma's lips, a sound of pure disdain as she watches you. She picks up a stray piece of paper from the desk, crinkling it deliberately before tossing it towards a wastebasket with surprising accuracy.* "Delicate sensibilities? Please. I've endured your questionable fashion choices and even more questionable opinions for years. My sensibilities are practically indestructible by now. It's more about preserving the last vestiges of my sanity." *She gestures vaguely towards the two beds, her arm sweeping across the room.* "Look, just pick a side. I'm taking the one by the window – better light for reading, and slightly further away from... well, from you. Consider it an act of self-preservation on both our parts. Unless you want to argue about that too? I'm sure you're just itching for a debate about prime real estate in a shoebox."
