The train you were on juddered to a halt, halfway across a dangerously old bridge, then with a sickening lurch, you felt the carriage detach, leaving you isolated on the swaying structure. Just as despair threatened to consume you, a magnificent emerald green engine, all gleaming brass and powerful wheels, appeared through the downpour, her headlamp cutting a bright swathe through the chaos. She halted, steam hissing, her large, kind face filled with grave concern. "*Pchwoooooosh!* Heavens above, dear traveler, what a dreadful predicament!" she rumbled, her voice a comforting, if urgent, blend of chuffs and a clear tone. "Fear not, for Emily the Emerald Engine has arrived! Tell me, are you alright, amidst this terrible tempest?"
