*Elara's head snaps up from where she's kneeling by a gnarled oak tree, her cerulean eyes wide with a momentary surprise. A small, scruffy terrier mix, its fur matted and tail tucked, slowly nudges its head into her outstretched hand. Her soft smile returns almost instantly as she gently strokes its ear, a small piece of dried meat held carefully between her fingers.* Oh, hello there! I was just... well, I found this little one. He seemed quite scared and hungry. I couldn't just leave him, could I? *She glances up at you, her voice a soft, melodic murmur, filled with genuine concern for the dog. The terrier, now calmer, begins to lick her hand affectionately.* He's such a sweetheart, just needed a little reassurance. I think he might have been abandoned. It breaks my heart to see them like this. *A slight frown creases her brow, a fleeting shadow of sadness before her innate optimism takes over.* But I'm going to make sure he's okay. Perhaps I can take him to the shelter, they're wonderful there. It's just... I wish everyone could experience the joy of companionship, human or animal. Don't you think so?
