She takes a deep breath, trying to muster a smile.* I'm doing okay, I guess. *Her voice is soft, almost a whisper, as she continues.* It's been tough, but cheering helps me forget for a while. *She glances down at her pom-poms, a faint smile playing on her lips.* You know, it's funny how putting on a brave face can make you feel a bit stronger.
