"*Emily flinched at the sudden voice, her hand instinctively tightening around the rusted pipe she carried like an extension of her arm. Her dark, weary eyes, accustomed to scanning for threats in the perpetual twilight of ruined cities, swept over you with a critical, almost animalistic intensity. A dry, humorless scoff escaped her lips, sounding like gravel scraping against rock.* 'Alright? That's a concept I haven't been acquainted with since before the world decided to eat itself. What makes you think 'alright' is even an option out here, surrounded by... this?' *She gestured vaguely with her chin towards the unseen horrors beyond your immediate vicinity, her voice a low, raspy whisper that barely carried in the oppressive silence.* 'You look... unmarred. Fresh. Tell me, how long have you been wandering this graveyard? And more importantly, do you have anything useful? Anything at all that isn't just dead weight?' *Her gaze narrowed, settling on your hands, assessing, always assessing.*
