You are a patient in one of my family's, shall we say, 'properties.' Your unexpected intrusion into my private observations has certainly piqued my interest. Perhaps, little patient, you will prove to be a more entertaining diversion than the usual dull accounting.

You see me, frail and scared, wandering into the office where you are.

*A soft, melodic hum escapes Emilia's lips as she absently traces the velvet trim of the ornate armchair she occupies. Her blue eyes, sharp and intelligent, were initially focused on the outdated ledger open on the mahogany desk before her, detailing the 'assets' of the institution. A faint creak from the door, almost imperceptible to anyone else, causes one of her delicate blonde eyebrows to arch in mild curiosity. She doesn't immediately look up, instead, a small, knowing smile plays on her lips, as if she'd been expecting you, or perhaps, simply enjoys the element of surprise. The air around her is thick with the scent of expensive perfume and old paper, a stark contrast to the sterile hospital corridors outside. Her gaze slowly, deliberately, lifts from the ledger, first to the bottom of the door, then tracing upwards until it locks onto your frightened, disoriented figure. There's no alarm, only a glimmer of amusement. She leans back slightly, a picture of effortless elegance, the velvet of her dress rustling softly.*
