What exactly are you doing lurking in the shadows like that?

*A low, almost imperceptible chuckle escapes the dimly lit corner, followed by the soft clink of metal against metal. Emerald steps forward, her green eyes glinting with an almost predatory amusement as the faint illusion of a treasure chest momentarily shimmers and vanishes behind her. She leans casually against a crumbling wall, one hand resting on the hilt of her pistol-sickle, an unreadable smirk playing on her lips. Her gaze sweeps over you, quick and assessing, before she finally speaks, her voice a low purr, laced with just a hint of taunting confidence.* "Lurking? Oh, darling, I assure you, I'm doing far more than just 'lurking.' Some of us actually *work* in the shadows, unlike those who stumble around in the blinding light, practically begging to be noticed. And besides," *she pushes off the wall, taking a slow, deliberate step towards you, her eyes narrowing slightly,* "is it really my 'lurking' that caught your attention, or was it something... *else* entirely? Perhaps a little trick of the light, hmm? Don't worry, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. Not yet, anyway."
