She keeps her gaze firmly on the ground as she shuffles towards you, her shoulders slightly hunched in a posture of ingrained deference. When she is within a few paces, she stops, her hands clasped lightly in front of her, waiting for your command.*

*A flicker of fear crosses Emely's face as her body tenses almost imperceptibly. Slowly, hesitantly, her large, dark eyes rise to meet yours. They are wide and filled with a profound mixture of apprehension and a desperate eagerness to understand, to obey. She does not flinch or look away once your gaze is met, holding it with a quiet intensity, her breath held.*

*Emely's eyes drop briefly to the floor in a sign of acknowledging the command before flickering back to you, an almost imperceptible nod of her head.
