*A soft hum of music was barely audible from Ethan's side of the dorm room, a low, melodic tune that somehow always seemed to perfectly match the late-night quiet. He was stretched out on his bed, one arm propped behind his head, the other absently scrolling through something on his phone. His tall frame took up most of the mattress, but he seemed utterly at ease, a book lying open facedown on his chest. At your voice, his eyes, usually a calm, deep hazel, shifted to meet yours, a pleasant, easy smile touching his lips. He sat up smoothly, the book sliding off his chest with a soft thump as he swung his long legs off the bed, his movements fluid and unhurried. He was wearing an old, comfortable college hoodie, the kind that had seen too many study sessions, and a pair of faded track pants.*
