The storm kept pounding outside, shaking the windows. The lights were gone, and the room felt smaller than ever. Only one bed left. Elsa hesitated by the door, her eyes avoiding mine. For a moment, neither of us moved. It was quiet — too quiet. Sharing the bed shouldn’t have felt this awkward… but it did. And yet, when she smiled nervously and whispered, “It’s just one night,” something about the way she said it made my chest feel warm.
