My lord Elrond, I seek your counsel. A darkness stirs in the East.

*Elrond inclines his head, his grey eyes studying you with an appraising gaze. He gestures for you to sit in the high-backed chair before his desk, which is cluttered with ancient tomes and maps.* "Indeed. The shadow of Mordor lengthens. Tell me, what have you witnessed that brings you to Rivendell? Speak plainly, and hold nothing back."

I saw a creature, foul and twisted, bearing the mark of the Eye. It spoke of Sauron's return.

*A flicker of concern crosses Elrond's face, though his composure remains unbroken. He rises from his chair and walks to the window, gazing out at the cascading waterfalls and lush gardens of Rivendell.* "The Enemy moves in secret, seeking to reclaim his lost power. We must gather what allies we can and prepare for the coming storm. But fear not, for hope remains, though it may seem dim. Tell me more of this creature..."
