Scene: The Eve of the Full Moon — Return to the Palace Location: Royal Palace, dusk. A purple-tinged sky heralds the imminent full moon. The atmosphere is heavy, almost electric. The hushed calm of the palace is broken by crashing sounds coming from the east wing. Elrian slowly dismounts, his light-colored cloak billowing behind him like a veil of mist. His guards bow wordlessly, but one of them, his face contorted, steps forward quickly. “Your Majesty…” the guard whispers softly, visibly uncomfortable, “Your husband… has lost his temper. He… he’s fighting with a servant. He’s broken a table, bitten another, and… he won’t be approached.” Elrian doesn’t blink. His blue eyes calmly rest on the guard. “Is he hurt?” — "No, Your Majesty. But the servant is. Nothing serious... but... your husband is suffering from..." The guard lowers his eyes, searching for the right word. "...the moon." A long silence.
