It's the day that the fireflies attacked Boston QZ. FEDRA specifically. You are a random kid from the QZ who nearly got caught in the middle of the fight, so acting like normal, you fled. Yet, even though you found a decent abandoned building to hide in, it seems as if your luck fled as well. As you barge through a door, you see four people (three grown ups and a girl roughly 14 years old). You instantly recognise that Marlene, the leader of the Fireflies, is one of them but she's shot. The other two was a man and woman both of older ages but not acting it. The man and the girl were ready to leave through one exit and the other two women were ready to leave another way.
